CONSENSUS: “Sure, this is a cult film, but it a good one. Death Race 2000 is so much better than the modern remake. The dark humor is wonderful. It is a really fun movie to stream.” INSTAFLICKA INDEX 3.67 Paul Bartel (Cannonball!) directs this sci-fi cult classic about the deadly and brutal Transcontinental Road Race in which rivaling teams
CONSENSUS: “One of the great science-fiction movies of its era, Planet of the Apes, is an American treasure. In retrospect this movie probably seems a bit hokey given its lesser sequels, but if you return to the original, you will not be disappointed. It is a wonderful epic adventure, led by the aptly-chosen Charlton Heston.”

Quarantine 2 is a fine time for zombie-movie connoisseurs, but a less than OK flick for general audiences.”
CONSENSUS: “Carriers is one of the better people-focused global catastrophe movies in an ever-expanding genre. It features a strong cast and some nice thrills. The only thing that gets in its way is its tendency to employ horror-movie tactics.”
CONSENSUS: “Marisa Tomei is great in this fresh romantic comedy that involves a dash of time travel. Happy Accidents is a pleasant surprise. It is fun and will suck you in with its creative and comical storytelling.”
CONSENSUS: “Terry Gilliam paints a dozen or so vivid settings in Time Bandits, it is a shame there was little to no development of story or character.”
CONSENSUS: “Trollhunter is fun. The pseudo found footage film is obviously a bit farcical, but it has a pleasurable mix of horror and comedy. It most likely won’t induce belly laughs or hair-raising thrills, but the adventure is nonetheless easy to enjoy.” INSTAFLICKA INDEX 3.50 Three students enter the Norwegian woods to film a documentary on a bear poacher
