CONSENSUS: “The King of Devil’s Island is moody, gripping and relevant, even though its story takes place far in the past. It has its flaws, including being a bit longer than it needs to be, but we recommend giving it a try.” INSTAFLICKA INDEX 3.50 This gripping drama tells the true story of the uprising at the notorious Bastoy

CONSENSUS: “It is hard to track the movie’s narrative, made even more difficult because it is subtitled, but if you are willing to put up with a little incoherence, I’m a Cyborg can be as fun as the title suggests.”
CONSENSUS: “Dogtooth is a one of a kind movie, that is both compelling and horrifying at the same time. It is not like anything you have ever seen before. It is a movie that will make you mouth ‘what the fuck’ over and over again… in a good way.”

This week we discussed three newer foreign flicks including Trollhunter, I’m a Cyborg, but That’s Ok and Dogtooth. It was a week of laughs and a week of psychological horrors. During the show we drank a rather boozy beer from Samuel Adams called The Vixen. We also discussed, perhaps of a result of the highly alcoholic brew, the issue of Satan’s genitals.
