In the Fuck Yeah News of the Day, Netflix and CBS are supposedly working on a deal that could resurrect the long-since cancelled TV show Jericho. Here is the scoop, according to TV Guide:
Apocalypse now? TV Guide Magazine confirms that Netflix has approached CBS about reviving cult fave Jericho — and the network, through its CBS TV Studios production arm, is considering it. The drama, which followed the residents of a small Kansas town in the wake of a nuclear attack, has been off the air since 2008.
Repeats of Jericho remain popular on Netflix’s on-demand service, even four years after the show’s cancellation. Insiders say Netflix execs would love to emulate the revival of Fox’s Arrested Development, which is expected to return on Netflix with new episodes in 2013, seven years after the show ended its run.
I was a pretty big fan of this show when it was airing on TV. So much so that I actually watched it on TV — something I never do anymore. I have a major boner for this idea.
You can watch the two seasons of Jericho that were produced by CBS back in 2006 and 2007 via Netflix Instant.

I know I am revealing my geeky-ness here but I’m 100% behind this. I also love how the new media platforms are driving television. Maybe in the future we won’t be inundated with loads of mindless crap reality TV shows.
I am glad you are on board with this… and one can only hope about the reality TV shows.
